Monique McCartha is a San Diego based Writer and Producer, who originally hails from Detroit, MI. After earning her BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan and residing briefly in New York to pursue her writing career, Monique moved to San Diego, CA with her family.  Twenty years and four amazing children later, she has returned to her writing dreams. Monique obtained her MBA in 2011 from Ashford University and is currently establishing her NonProfit Organization the McCartha Artistic Construct -The MAC, which will support the McCartha Writing Awards – a contest began in 2018 geared toward encouraging creative writing in Secondary School age students, around the United States.
